How Are Electric Cars “Green”?
Question by Tanner C: How are electric cars "Green"?
Are any emissions that are absent from an all electric, or even a plug in/hybrid overshadowed by their extensive use of Lithium and drawing from an electric grid that is mostly energized by coal and nuclear power?
Not to mention the energy required to build them...
What is to become of all of this Lithium when the batteries reach the end of their lives?

well, it doesnt make pollutants:/ but the people that make energy for it do…
What your saying is true, and I imagine the Lithium will either be recycled, thrown away, or become an environmental problem like some consider nuclear waste. More pressing is that in the next few years 13 coal power-plants will be closed with no replacements meaning the current grid which is almost at its limit will be further stress, and these cars will create further stress.
it isn’t green at all pal, The best solution for cars to go “green” is to burn ethanol from hemp, this was what the very first car was supposed to run on, it also emits ZERO carbon
